(June 14, 1927 - February 1, 2010) Mary Kathryn Vance, age 82, of Maryville, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at her home. She was loved and adored by all. She was a charter member of Knob Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Vance; son, Steve Vance; son-in-law, John “Tom” Whitehead; daughters-in-law, Cindy Lou Vance and Sharon Vance; and granddaughters, Stepheny Stephens and Sasha McCroskey. She is survived by her children; Cynthia Whitehead, Miniard “Buddy” and Kum Vance, David Auther Vance, Mark Adrin Vance, Maryanne and Mike Kimbriel; daughter-in-law, Sheila Vance; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Knob Road Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Little officiating. The interment service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Allegheny Loop Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Knob Road Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
