April 12, 1933 - January 27, 2018
Clifford William Martin, age 84 of Kodak, entered his eternal home in heaven on Saturday, January 27, 2018. As a member of Dumplin Baptist Church, Clifford served as a deacon and was a member of the building and grounds committee. He also mowed the church grounds and kept everything beautiful. He referred to his grandchildren as "Papaw's Babies" and he was known to assign special names to his family and friends. Clifford loved spending time with his dog Max, who he called Papaw's Little Boy. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and was always looking for someone to sing with. He believed you could work for enjoyment, as he spent many hours with his chainsaw and wood splitter. He delighted in growing a lush garden and sharing the harvest with others. He leaves a legacy of love and friendship. To know Clifford was to love him, as in 1 John 4:7 "Beloved , let us love one another: for love is of God."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Grace Martin, and brothers, David and Melbourne Martin.
