The couple were married April 27, 1947, in Chatsworth, Ga. The Rev. J.W. Dooley officiated. Their family includes children David of Memphis and Carolyn Orr of Louisville. They have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Bowser is retired from the United States Post Office. Mrs. Bowser is a homemaker. He was a veteran of the Marines serving in the Pacific during WWII. He retired from the Post Office in 1988 after 39 years of employment. Troy has been an active member of Victory Baptist Church for the past 58 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Minnie Bowser and brother, John Bowser of Greeneville, TN. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Viola Bowser of Louisville, brother, Kenneth and wife, Angelena of Greenville; children, Carolyn and husband Tom Orr of Louisville, TN. and David and wife Ruth Bowser of Cordova, TN. Three grandchildren; Carrie Byrd, Hollie Dueker, and Thomas Orr. Four great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with the Rev. Larry Bradley and Rev. Rob Hoffman officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery.
