BOMAR, THOMAS BRYAN- age 91 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home February 4th, born September 1, 1920 to Bibb and Ethel Bomar of Bell Buckle, TN, a faithful member of Cumberland Baptist Church for 49 years, retired from Union Carbide with 37 years service. Preceded in death by siblings, JD Bomar, Bill Pearson and Bulah Messick. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Hawkins Bomar, Tellico Plains, TN; his children, Richard (Linda Ayala), Simpsonville, SC, Tom (Angie) Knoxville, Lisa Butts (Paul) Franklin, TN; grandsons, Josh and Chad Bomar and Charlie Butts. A loving father and grandfather "Teet Teet" always had a smile and never met a stranger. He was an avid gardener. Receiving friends Tuesday, February 7th 5:00-7:00 pm at Cumberland Baptist Church, funeral to follow. Rev. Kerry Bond officiating. Interment Wednesday 11:00 a.m. Oak Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cumberland Baptist Church. A special thanks to Dr. Armand Wood, Andrea Heath and Amedisys Hospice.
