Bonnie Lee Muegge, 80, of Burkburnett died Monday, April 9, 2007 in Wichita Falls.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Burkburnett Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett. Officiating will be Rev. Johnny Dowell, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Burkburnett.
Mrs. Muegge was a retired school teacher and was married to Emil Muegge of Burkburnett.
She was born March 3, 1927, at her parents' home in Bartlesville, Okla. She graduated from Webb City High School in 1944 where she excelled in Women's Basketball and was senior class president. She obtained her bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and taught biology in Bethany, Okla., and various other public and private schools. Her final public employment was with Chromelox Corp. in Ogden, Utah, where she worked as a buyer. She retired in Burkburnett, where she operated a bird raising business from her home until her death.
Mrs. Muegge is survived by her husband Emil, two daughters, Sandra Muegge of Glenwood, Minn., and Sherry Schroyer of Dixon, Calif. She is also survived by three sons; Darrell Muegge of Oakview, Calif., Tracy Muegge of Gold River, Calif., and Brian Muegge of Billingham, Wash.; a sister Betty Jean Seymour of Durant, Okla., and by five grandchildren; Nathan, Samuel, Vanessa, Paul and Natalie.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed Visitation will be held today at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to noon.
