MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Frank "Jake" Gazlay , 68, of Monterey, will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Cumberland Cove Welcome Center following the services. Graveside services, with interment to follow, will be held at 11 a.m. (EDT) on Thursday, June 28, at Asbury Cemetery in Knoxville. Mr. Gazlay passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at his home. He was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Sevierville to the late Harold James and Ruby Virginia Pickel Gazlay . He was of the Methodist faith and worked several years as a scanner operator in the graphic arts industry. He also served in the Air Force Reserve. His family includes his wife, Pam Lowe Gazlay of Monterey; two stepdaughters and a stepson-in-law, Karen Brantlecht of Orwigsburg, Pa., and Jennifer and Antonio Capron of Bumpass, Va.; a stepgranddaughter, Kayla Brantlecht of Orwigsburg; a stepgreat-grandson, Damien Joseph Brantlecht of Orwigsburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Lee and Carol Gazlay of Monterey and Harold Thomas and Danette Gazlay of Pigeon Forge; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the following organizations: Hospice of Cumberland County, 30 E. Adams Street, Crossville, TN 38555, Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue, 121 Creek View Drive, Crossville, TN 38555, and A Time 4 Paws Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 2989, Crossville, TN 38557 Pastor James C.
