Nancy Alice Chance, 85, died April 30 in Wilmington, N.C., after a long illness.
She was born in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and lived most of her life in the Akron area. Mrs. Chance was employed with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. 26 years, and was a member of Akron Baptist Temple.
Preceded in death by husband, Louis in 1985; she is survived by son Charles L. of Wilmington, N.C.; daughter, Elizabeth Robbins of Akron; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Patterson of Knoxville, Tenn.; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Monday, 1 p.m., at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Dr. Paul D. Outland officiating. Entombment Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
