Gaylor-Maples wedding
Brittany Leigh Gaylor and Jonathan Lynn Maples were united in marriage on June 1, 2013, in an outdoor ceremony at the Barn Event Center of the Smokies in Townsend, Tenn. Rev. Joseph Cole of White Pine officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Melanie and Mark Kasaval of Dandridge, and Tracy and Beverly Gaylor of New Market.
She is the granddaughter of Buddy and Betty Reneau of Dandridge, Betty Gaylor of Morristown, and Dennis and Sandra Kasaval of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is a 2013 graduate of East Tennessee State University.
The groom is the son of Lynn and Loretta Maples of Kodak and the grandson of the late Ben and Lora Pack and the late Russell and Pearl Maples.
He is a 2012 graduate of East Tennessee State University.
The bride was escorted down the aisle and given in marriage by her brother, Jaiden Kasaval of Dandridge. She wore a strapless, white beaded lace trumpet gown with a sweep train and godet insets at the hem and sash, embellished with pearls and crystals and fastened in the back with a rhinestone pin belonging to her great-great-grandmother.
Her mid-length veil was held in place by a comb of pearls and crystals, and her jewelry was a strand of pearls with matching earrings and bracelet, a gift from her Nana.
She carried a bouquet of English roses, peonies, ranunculus and dahlias in shades of orange, peach and white, accented with small, framed pictures of her late great-grandparents.
The maid of honor was Jennifer Parton, and bridesmaids were Taylor Duncan, Elizabeth Atchley, Brandi Rea, Jillian Trentham, Jackie Harper and Kayla Breeden, all friends of the bride. They wore persimmon orange fl oor-length dresses, with one shoulder, complimented with a strand of pearls, a gift from the bride. They carried bouquets in shades of orange ranunculus and baby’s breath.
The best man was Lynn Maples, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Daniel Maples, cousin of the groom; and John Patty, Justin Duncan, Matthew Grooms, Van Harper and Cody Fleming, friends of the groom.
Flower girls were Aubrey Beeler, niece of the groom, and Isabella Atchley, friend of the bride.
They wore off-white lace sundresses and carried small burlap bags decorated with two hearts and the bride and groom’s initials. They scattered yellow and orange rose petals in the aisle.
Aleigh Puckett, cousin of the bride, kept the bride’s book.
Ushers were Ethan Puckett and Mathew Puckett, cousins of the bride; and Grant Bohanan and Alex Bohanan, nephews of the groom.
The reception followed the ceremony inside the Barn Event Center of the Smokies with dinner, karaoke and dancing. Each table was covered with a white tablecloth and burlap runner accented with fresh fl owers in mason jars decorated with burlap and lace. The bride and groom’s table was adorned with a crocheted tablecloth that was made by the bride’s great-greatgrandmother, the late Grace Bishop, and was used in the wedding of her grandparents, Buddy and Betty Reneau, more than 50 years ago.
After a honeymoon cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Haiti and Mexico, the couple reside in Dandridge.
