A member of Eden United Methodist Church, Gale loved his church family and was involved as a lay speaker and with the youth of the church. He was a retired U.S. Navy Master Chief E-9. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Gale will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his son Johnnie Louis Chance, grandson Maddox Chance, brother Tex, Fenn, and Smitty Chance, sister Sarrah Sue Chance, and son-in-law Bruce H. Swab. Survivors: Wife: Lorene Ward Chance Daughters: Lisa Swab and Jane Ellingwood Daughter-in-law: Mandi Chance and grandbaby-to-be Gavin Chance Grandchildren: Bruce H.
