HICKMAN, DOTTIE L. - 62 of Strawberry Plains, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 9, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Thorn Grove Bapt. Church. Preceded in death by husband, Sam Hickman ; father, Milles Lane ; brothers, Buzz Lane ; sisters, Jeri Wells, and June Ogle. Survived by daughter and son in law, Darlene and Glenn McGee of Knoxville; sons and daughters in law, Jeff and Brenda Hickman of Sevierville, Joe and Pam Hickman of Kodak; grandchildren, Hope Nordstrom and husband, Steve of Nashville, Nathan and Hanna Hickman of Sevierville and Isaac Hickman of Kodak; great grandson, Jared Nordstrom; mother, Jessie Lane ; twin brothers, Bill and Andy Lane and Ronnie Lane ; special cousin, Anita Clemmons of Fairfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Friday Fielden Chapel with Rev. Freddie Chandler officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:50 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Memory Garden for an 11 a.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Dottie Hickman Memorial Fund c/o Citizens National Bank, 200 Fork of the River Parkway, Sevierville, Tenn. 37862. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Fielden Funeral Home New Market.
