Pauline went to a single room school in Pittman Center and moved to Michigan during World War 2. She returned to Gatlinburg each year to visit her mother and father and moved back with her husband in 1973. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Henry Barnes and Annie Gibson Barnes, husband, Paul C. Schlang, brothers, Jeff Deavers, James H. Barnes, Glen Barnes, Paul H. Barnes, and grandson, John Paul Whaley. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law: Sharon Clark and Terry Sons and daughters-in-law: David A. Schlang and Barbara, George P. Schlang and Debbie, Thomas F.
