U.S. Veteran Billy Joe Kilgore, age 72, of Parrottsville, passed away, Monday, December 3, 2007, James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN. He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter P. Kilgore. He is survived by his wife Frances Kilgore of Parrottsville; mother, Lady I. Kilgore of Parrottsville; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kathy Kilgore of Guyton, GA; daughter, Amy Kilgore of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Jewell Mitchell of Satellite Beach, Florida; grandson, Jeffery Kilgore of Guyton, GA; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, December 7, 2007 in Salem-Lutheran Cemetery, Rev. Leon Large and Rev. Sterling Nelson officiating. L/Cpl Charles C. Roberts DAV Chapter 102 conducting military rites. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Manes Funeral Home. In lieu of flower memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
