He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Ruth Mae Huskey Newman, Sons, Dwayne “Bud” Newman and Ray Newman; daughter, Nancy Garner White; grandson, Sammy Garner and a sister, Mary Atchley. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Newman; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Gerald Reagan, Wanda and Ronnie Brown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Fay Cogdill, Bonnie Beck, Dorothy Lewis, Barb and Ray Cogdill, Stella and Ken Suttles and Jonnie and Jimmy Pack; brother-in-law, Frank Atchley; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, special granddaughter, Christy Garner Gibson. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Rawlings Funeral Home, Rev. Michael Beck and Rev. Jimmy Reagan will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, from 5-7 pm. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11 am at Elkmount Cemtery.
