LaFORGE REVA HUFFAKER — age 88 of Hermitage, TN, and formerly a long time resident of Garden Dr. in Fountain City, passed away Friday evening at McKendree Village Health Care Center. She was born August 9, 1915 in Sevier County.
She is preceded in death by her first husband William Jack Huffaker, and second husband Robert M. LaForge.
She was a former member of Fountain City United Methodist Church in Knoxville, presently a member of Belmont United Methodist, Nashville. She was retired from State of Tennessee Health Department, Speech and Hearing. She was a very active volunteer in Fountain City United Methodist Church Youth Department for many years. Member Nashville chapter P.E.O. and donated her time, love to McKendree Village Volunteer Auxiliary. Her grace, wisdom and giving heart will live as an example to those whose lives she touched.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law Craig J. and Nancy Huffaker; grand son Aaron J. Huffaker; step sons John V. (Martha) LaForge Knoxville James M. (Ruth) LaForge, Hodges, S.C.; step grand children Lisa (Scott) Roach, John (Heather) LaForge II, James LaForge, William LaForge; step great grand daughter Rachael LaForge, Arwen Roach; step great grand son Alex LaForge; also several loving nieces and nephews; and very dear friends Louise and Dave Redmond family.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Tuesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service at 11:00 am. Mrs. Phyllis Hill D.R.E. officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fountain City United Methodist Church 212 Hotel Ave. Knoxville, TN 37918, or to McKendree Village Golden Cross 4343 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN 37076. A memorial service will be held at a later date at McKendree Village Chapel. Family will receive friends 5-7 pm Monday at Gentry- Griffey Chapel.
