Gordon R. “Dick” Landreth of Sevierville joined his beloved wife, Virginia Joan, in heaven on Sunday, March 12, 2006. He fought bravely to recover from the effects of a stroke which he had suffered in December 2005.
He was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed tending his garden and caring for his property. He was a zealous NASCAR and Lady Volunteer fan. Ever the jokester, he loved laughing and making other people laugh. He definitely knew how to make a joyful noise.
Passing on before him, his wife of 43 years, Jenny Landreth; his mother and step-father Audrey and John Hellard; his father Robert K. Landreth; his sisters Kathleen Lonas, Johnnie Conaster and Ocalee Lewis.
