MURRELL, OSCAR L., JR. - 87 of Pond Creek Rd., Philadelphia, died Thursday evening at Parkwest Hospital. Junior was a member of Loudon Church of God, Veteran of the US Army, WW II and retired employee of Curtis-Tipton Motors. Preceded in death by daughter, Martha Johnson, parents, Oscar L. & Ethel Fain Murrell, Sr. Survivors: son in law, Mike Johnson, Philadelphia; sons, James & Gene Murrell, Loudon; daughters, Ann McMahan, Philadelphia & Mrs. Gene (Diccie) Woody, Lenoir City; 7 grandchildren, Chassie Johnson & Mike Johnson, Jerry McMahan & Christie McMahan, Bobby & Tony Woody, Lesia Woody; several great grandchildren; mother of his children, Beulah Moore Murrell, Loudon; brothers & sister in law, Ralph & Evelyn Murrell, Loudon, Robert & Pat Murrell, Richmond, Va.; sisters, Mary Dell Chaney, Sevierville & Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) Murrell, St. Charles, Mo. Funeral services 6 p.m. Sunday Loudon Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Oley Russell officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Monday Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday Loudon Funeral Home.
