ISAAC EDWARD MATTHEWS, born October 11, 1947, went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2011 after a lingering illness. He was a long time member of Deep Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his dad, Arlie Matthews. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bettie Morgan Matthews; sons, Jeffery Marvin Matthews and Steven Edward Matthews, both of Dandridge; grandchildren, Steven Matthews, Jr. and Sylvia Matthews; great-grandchild, Bentley Matthews; mother, Anna Mae Matthews of Talbott; brothers, Charles and Helen Matthews, Dean and Susan Matthews, both of Sevierville; Troy and Chris Matthews of Dandridge; sisters, Kathy and Jimmy Baxter, Betty and Gary Snyder, both of Dandridge, Aileen and Wayne Walker of Talbott; also several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge with Rev. Chad Chambers and Rev. Kyle Cate officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 2:00 in Fain cemetery.
