Lebanon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: son, Robert Alan Maner; grandchildren, Barry Alan Edwards and Robert Daniel Edwards; parents, Julius C. and Lillie Mae Ball Maner. Survivors: wife, Katheryn Maxey Manser; daughter, Sara M. Edwards of Maryville; grandchildren, William P. Edwards, Dawn Melton, Constance Lethcher, Douglas Edwards and Linda Murphy. Eleven great grandchildren; brother, Robert Maner of Maryville; sister, Velma Knight of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2004 at Prospect Cemetery, Rev. Michael Bundon officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International, PO Box 4035 Maryville, Tennessee 37802-4035.
