WRIGHT, TRESSEIE STOOKSBURY — age 83, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Wright was born May 27, 1920 in Loyston, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Paris Conrad & Rossie Stooksbury who precede her in death. She graduated from Robertsville High School in 1941. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Claxton. She married Arthur W. Wright in Chatsworth, Georgia on January 30, 1942. They just celebrated their just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker. She loved the Lord, her family & church family. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking. Her family said she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister & friend who will be missed by all.
Preceded in death by her brother & his wife, Goodlow & Ruth Stooksbury, Homer Stooksbury; sister & her husband, Mossie & Elmer Davis; one grandchild, Adam Wright; her father & mother- in-law, Edd & Etta Wright; brother-in-law & wife, Claude & Lorene Wright; & sister-in-law & husband, Edna & Roy Bearden.
Survivors: husband of the home, Arthur Wright of Clinton; sons, Fred & wife Joyce Wright of Clinton, Carl & wife Paula Wright of Clinton, Willard & wife Pat Wright of Clinton; daughter, Wilma & husband Larry Brooks of Clinton; brother, Milas B. & wife Lucille Stooksbury of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Almeda Stooksbury of Manchester; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 1:30-3:30 PM, Sunday, February 8, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Glen Gamble & Rev. Steve Merritt officiating. The interment will follow at Zion Cemetery. Pall bearers will be grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donation to Zion Baptist Church Cemetery fund. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
