NICHOLS, ROSS BRADLEY, "R.M." - 75, Lenoir City, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at his home following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born, June 23, 1935, in Monroe Co., TN, the youngest, of seven children. He grew up working area farms with his father who was a sharecropper. As an adult he worked, at Dempster Brothers, Knoxville, Pic-Air, in Oak Ridge and Retired, from Scoville, Lenoir City, in 1998. He was a member, of Local Union 297. He enjoyed working in his yard and watching wrestling, & westerns. He began singing at a young age while working long hours, in the field as a form of entertainment. He attended Browder School and his love of music and his sense of humor made him have a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Elaine Owen Kupfer; parents, Henry & Minnie Chastain Nichols; brother, John Clifford Henry, Jr., Victor Eugene, Verlin Ray; & sister, Hattie Marie. Survivors, wife, of 25 years, Linda Tittle Nichols; daughter, Connie Williams & fiancée David Richards, Harriman; sister, Hazel Gentry, Lenoir City; sister-in-law, Jo Nichols, Knoxville; 4 grandsons, Steven & Justin Davis, Jeremy & Shawn Owen; great-grandson, Tyler Davis; nieces & nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you, to the Avalon Hospice staff for taking wonderful care, of Mr. Nichols. Family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services at 3 p.m.. Interment 10 a.m. Monday, Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens,. Loudon Funeral Home is charge.
