Mynatt, Faye-of South Knoxville passed away November 16, 2009 at Hillcrest South Nursing Home. She was born in Watauga County, North Carolina on December 1, 1924 and graduated from the North Carolina School for the Deaf. She met her husband of 49 years, R. B. Mynatt and raised her family in Knoxville. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Tennessee School for the Deaf. Preceded in death by husband, R. B. Mynatt; son, Bill Mynatt; parents, Spencer and Rose Fletcher; brothers; Howard, Don, Eugene, Charlie, Robert, and Arthur Fletcher.
Survivors
Survived by son and daughter in law, Jim and Kathy Mynatt of Seymour; grandchildren, Stephanie, Joseph and Haley Mynatt; son, Larry Mynatt of Knoxville; grandchildren, Lauren, Elijah and Jeremiah Mynatt; special niece, Susan Fletcher of Morganton, North Carolina; daughter in law, Robin Mynatt of Missouri; granddaughter, Samantha von Doersten of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Boyd and Albert Fletcher; sister, Ruby Riddle. Special friends; Irene Whitfield, Charlotte Reagan, Ruth Dziurzynski, Albert Smith and Jean Marine.
Service
Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, November 20, 2009, Highland South Cemetery. Dr. William Sims, Pastor, Valley Grove Baptist Church and Rev. Craig Cummings, Pastor, Union Baptist Church officiating. Special thanks to the staff of Hillcrest South Nursing Home and Caris Hospice. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Dziurzynski, Ron Marine, Jack Reagan, Floyd Johnson, Lindsay Johnson, and John Clabo. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
