Dempsey McFall , 85, of Newport died Saturday, Feb. 21 at a local hospital.
He was a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elzora (Kear) McFall , one sister Luna Jewell and one brother, Condon McFall .
Mr. McFall is survived by his wife, Donnie McFall of the home; three sons, Don McFall and Janelle McFall , both of Springfield, Mo. and Billy Ray McFall of Huntsville, Ala; four step-sons, Frank Thompson of Newport, Leonard Thompson of Swifton, Kenny THompson of Campbell Station and Coy Thompson of Greers Ferry; one step-daughter Brenda Holt of Swifton; three brothers Ivan McFall of Searcy, Wayne McFall of Sevierville, Tenn, and Benny McFall of Hutchinson, Kan; two sisters, Pauline Slessinger of Arizona and Mattie Malone of California; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Dillinger Chapel. Interment was at Walnut Grove Cemetery. The men of Cherokee Church of Christ served as pallbearers.
