Ruth Shular Reece, 78, went to be with the Lord with a smile on her face Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 5:55 p.m.
She was a former employee of Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation, and was a CAN retired from Holly Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Reece was a member of Worsham Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Moore; Mother, Eliza Eggleston; Sister Jean Matthews; daughter, Sandra Thomas and infant son, William Harold Shular.
Mrs. Reece is survived by two sons, Carol Shular of Farmville and David Shular and wife, Johanna of Prospect; a brother, James Moore and wife Shirley of Farmville; sisters, Betty Perkins of Farmville and Velma Grace Webb and husband, Wayne of Pensacola, FL; brother-in-law, Judd Matthews of Seiverville, TN; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Worsham Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Worsham Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
Shorter Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
