CORNETT, Vowie Josephine; age 84 of Linden and formerly of Maryville, TN, died January 15, 2006 in Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was a line worker with Elm Hill Meats in Lenoir City, TN and former volunteer at the Drop In Center in Maryville, TN. She is the daughter of the late George Washington and Barbara Alice Ownby Morgan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gary Curtis Cornett, Sr. and four brothers.

Visitation was held Wednesday evening at the McDonald Funeral Home in Linden. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 18, 2007, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of McDonald Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Rick Cottrell officiating. Interment followed services in the Cornett-White Family Cemetery in Perry County.
