Laymon Arklis 'Hurk' Williamson, age 82, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his son Carroll Williamson, Jr.
Surivors include his wife Bernice Annett Williamson of Cosby; sons Larry Williamson (Jennifer) of Sevierville; Danny Williamson of Cosby; Kevin Williamson (Sharon) of Cosby; and Stanley Williamson (Lynn) of Cleveland, OH; daughters Karen K. Craggs (Douglas) of Baltimore, MD and Darlene James (George) of Newport; grandchildren Jonathan and Cassie Williamson of Knoxville, Tonya Spraggins, Jackie Williamson, Nicole Williamson, Jeffery White, and Christopher Williamson of Cleveland, OH; and Randy James of Dandridge; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Laymon was employed at Wall Tube for 20 years where he was known as 'Turk'.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Messer officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Huff Cemetery in Jones Cove.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, prior to the services at the funeral home.
