McCroskey, age 77 of Sevierville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at Select Specialty Hospital located in St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville. Lenora faithfully attended LuRetta United Methodist Church and considered the people there her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Lula Hayes and a brother, Andrew Hayes, Jr. Survivors include her: Husband: Glen McCroskey Sisters and brother-in-law: Helen and Tilton Remey, Unavee Wilson, Ailene Hayes, and Jean Hayes Brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert and Judy Hayes, Russell Hayes, Bud Hayes, Tommy Shannon and Carolyn Hayes Several nieces and nephews and her friends at Shoney’s in Pigeon Forge where she worked for many years In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LuRetta United Methodist Church, 1901 Old Knoxville Highway, Sevierville, TN 37876. Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ashley Calhoun and Rev. Kim McCroskey officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Friday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens for interment. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
