NOE, DALE GAYTHER - born April 28, 1925, in Bean Station, TN, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2013, at Beverly Park Place. He accepted Jesus Christ as Savior around age 12 at Buffalo Baptist Church in Grainger County. He had been a member of Central Baptist Church in Fountain City since October of 1951, where he served as a deacon and was a part of the Moulders Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II in the European Theater. Following WW II, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Carson Newman College in 1950. He retired from Oak Ridge National Lab after 37 years in the Health Physics Division. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Albert and Elizabeth Gilbert Noe; stepmother, Grace Dyer Noe; sisters, Lucy Noe and Grace Forest; brothers, Bruce, Boyd (Geneva), and Lewis Noe; and brothers-in-law, Ben Headrick and Dr. Harry S. Phillips, Jr. Survivors include his loving, devoted wife of sixty-one years, Wilma Mize Noe; daughter and husband Kathy (Kevin) Haley of Texas; sons and wives, Timothy (Barbara) Noe of Missouri and Steven (Pat) Noe of Knoxville; grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Caroline, Elizabeth, and Andrew; sisters-in-law, Nina Noe, Norma Headrick, Evelyn Phillips, and Vivian Abney; nephew and wife, David (Elizabeth) Noe and family; family friend, Helen Thomas; special cousins, Nelda and Lloyd Kreder of Georgia; along with many loving nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to the Nursing Staff of Beverly Park Place second floor North for their kind and tender care. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am-11:00 am Saturday with the funeral service to follow in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Jeff Cockerham officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Sevierville, TN for the interment at 3:00 pm. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Moulders Sunday School Class.
