He was a member of the original Trundles Crossroads Methodist Church. A Veteran of the Air Force in World War II. He had a long and courageous battle with many health problems. He was a retired automobile mechanic of 35 years. A precious heart stopped beating, hardworking hands put to rest. Preceded in death by parents, J. Lewis and Love Davis Mize, sister, Lillie Johnson, brothers, Tommy L., James O., Charles E., and George F. Mize. Survivors: Wife: Mildred Webb Mize, of 64 years Son: Larry A. Mize and wife Linda, of Hixson, TN Granddaughter: Rebecca J. Zirk and husband Ron of Chattanooga, TN Grandson: Andrew G. Mize of Hixson, TN Brother: Joe A. Mize of Sebring, FL Sister: Mary Jane Manes of Gray, TN Honorary pallbearers: Andrew Mize, Mike Ellis, Dennis Wittenbarger, Kermit Fox, Delmar Howard, Charlie Rule, and Benny Samuel.
