MILLER, GRANT - 84, of South Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at the Baptist Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Miller resided in S. Knoxville since 1950. Grant worked at the Civic Coliseum and was recognized by Carson Brewer as a "7 in 1 Grounds Keeper" by doing the work of 7 people by himself. Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Miller a son, Roy Miller 2 sisters, Joyce Dalton and Lillian Cook and a brother, Sam Jones Miller. Survivors include a son, Robert Miller and wife Nancy 6 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren 2 great-great-grandchildren 3 sisters, Doris (Ruth) Underwood, Goldie Hood and husband Calvin of Rockford, and Alice French 3 brothers, Paul Miller and wife Blanche, Homer (Bud) Miller and wife Siti, and James McClure and wife Pat of Maryville a sister-in-law, Huella Miller and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Travis Treadway and the staff of Baptist Hospital's 4th floor. Graveside services will be Friday, April 11, 2003 at 11:00 AM in the Highland South Memorial Park. Highland South Memorial Park, Funerals, and Cremations, Chapman Hwy., is in charge. 573-7300.
