Iva taught sewing at Singer Sewing co. in Kingsport, Chicago and New York City and was a loving caregiver of other family members for her entire life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Henry and Sarah Catherine Tarwater McMahan; brothers, Roger Porter McMahan, Clarence Edgar McMahan, Ernest Bradford McMahan, Clyde Oliver McMahan, Lloyd Henry McMahan, and Homer Wright McMahan; sisters, Trula Elizabeth McMahan and Mary Holland McMahan Williams; Great granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Baker. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth "Liz" P. And William "Tom" T. Baker; granddaughter, Katherine Marie Baker; grandson and wife, William Steven and Anja Baker; great granddaughter, Anne Marie Baker. The family would like to extend a special Thanks to all of Iva's caregivers, 6th floor Joint Center staff at JCMCH and Hospice. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2006 at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Don Grady officiating. Interment will follow the service in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-2 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2006 at Rawlings Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Ladies of First Presbyterian Church of Sevierville or to Mountain State's Hospice in Johnson City, TN.
