Mr. McGill was a member of Little Cove Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine McGill and brothers, Ray and Carl “Pete” McGill. He is survived by his sons, Johnny McGill and Jim McGill; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and foster children; sister, Hazel Lunsford. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Oliver Ray Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at Little Cove Cemetery for interment. Military honors provided by American Legion Post #104. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
