MILLER, D.S. "JUNE", JR. — age 78, of Bybee, passed away Monday, March 15, 2004. Mr. Miller was a member of Briar Thicker 1st Baptist Church, worked for Cocke County Board of Education as a school bus driver for 23 years, was always interested in politics and served on the Election Committee several years. He was a member of Farm Service Agency Committee and was presently Vice Chairman. He was also a member of the Cattleman Association, an avid sports fan supporting Cocke County High School and University of Tennessee sports.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Clark Miller; parents, D. S. Sr. and Ora Moore Miller; brother, George H. Miller, Sr.; sisters, Margie Miller and Willie Kate May.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Kenneth Carter of Bybee; granddaughter, Lindsey Michelle Thomas of Bybee; sister and brother-in-law, Clara (Coot) and Jack Reynolds of Bybee; sisters-in-law, Billie Miller of Paducah, KY; nieces and nephews, Jubal Reynold of Bybee, Jackie Reynold Culler of Powder Springs, GA, Judy Gaglanio of Peach Tree City, Ga., John D. May of Marietta, GA, Kathy May Edwards of Oak Ridge, TN. John Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, George H. "Butch" Miller Jr. of Paducah, KY, Jack Culler of Powder Springs, GA; close friends F. M. "Gosb" White and Dorothy of White Pine; also several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arnold Webb and Rev. Jimmy Turner, with burial in Glendale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Manes Funeral Home. D.S. “June” Miller, age 78, of Bybee, passed away Monday, March 15, 2004.
