David Franklin Baker, age 59, of Gatlinburg, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009. David graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1972. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge. David was co-owner of Five Oaks Tire and Service Inc. with his brother-in-law, Larry Cole. He was an avid golfer and member of the Gatlinburg Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Rose, and father, Eldridge Baker.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in Memory of Missy Rose, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
Funeral service 7 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge with Rev. Wayne Cook and Rev. Jon Ownby officiating. Interment 10 AM Wednesday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be the employees of Five Oaks Tire and Service. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Glen Whaley and Bob Barker Sunday School Class. Mr. Baker will lie-in-state from 2-4 PM Tuesday and the family will receive friends 4-6:30 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Pigeon Forge. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
