February 18, 1934 - January 2, 2018
Lee Mayes Rose, age 83 of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. Her special great-niece Sonya held her hand until Jesus took her hand to go home.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Concord. Lee was preceded in death by her parents Clell and Naomi Mayes; niece Melissa Rose and nephew Michael Loy.
She is survived by her sisters Alice Sutherland, Clellene Cole and husband Larry, and Betty Baker; nieces and nephews Sammy, Jon and Steve Hooker, Donna Mowery, Sarah Ownby and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Sevierville Health and Rehabilitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee, 5801 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.
Graveside service and interment 11 AM Friday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, Pigeon Forge. Rev. Samuel Hooker will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com
