KNIGHT, CLYDE W. - born January 7, 1917 in Sevier County, died September 22, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. A retired self-employed contractor, he was a charter member of Washburn Street Baptist Church in Knoxville, and was currently residing at Ridgeview Terrace Life Care in Rutledge. Preceded in death by two daughters, Geneva Knight and Linda Knight Manuel. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lenora McCarter Knight children and their spouses, Pat and Ronald Dunlap of Kodak, Ray Knight of Bulls Gap, Verne and Betty Knight of Rutledge, Harold and Marsha Knight of Blaine, Teresa and Dennis Brown of Rutledge and Curtis Manuel of Rockwood three sisters, Hazel Clark of Oneida, Shirley McClain and Betty Jo Rochester both of Knoxville a brother, Harold Johnson of Knoxville 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family and friends will assemble at the Highland Chapel on Thursday by 1:45 p.m. to go in procession to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Ronnie Dunlap, Jr., Jason Peacock, Tony Tarwater, Paul Knight, Lee Dunlap and Scott Moyers.
