Steve professed his faith in Christ and was a member of First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge. He was a 1977 graduate of Sevier County High School and a 1984 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned degrees in Pre-law, Political Science, and Psychology. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Winston and Nola McCarter, and Parlin and Anna Trentham. Steve is survived by his parents, Hal and Christine Trentham; sister, Sharon Maples; niece, Chanley Maples; aunt, Sanda Trentham; aunt and uncle, Jack and Charlotte Maples, and many other family members.
