August 31, 1951 - November 21, 2017 Marjorie Marie Gibson, age 66, of Seymour, TN, received her wings as the newest and kindest angel in Heaven on November 21, 2017. She was surrounded by family who loved her dearly. Marie was a devout Christian who lived her life caring for her family, friends, neighbors and pets. She had more spirit and determination than her tiny body would indicate. She enjoyed reading her bible, fishing, mowing yards and baking for others. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Marie was predeceased by her daughter, Charlene Gibson; and her step-daughter, Angel Gibson; as well as her parents, Earl and Dicie McCarter. Marie is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Charles E. Gibson; her niece, Sherri E. Onks; her beloved grandchildren, Grey and Gunner Gibson; and step-son, Russell Gibson. Marie is also survived by four siblings, Earl McCarter, Jr. and wife Mary, Marusha Abbott, Loretta Whitmore, and James McCarter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA. The family will receive friends at Atchley Funeral Home, 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN on Saturday, November 25th from noon to 1:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 1 p.m. in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel.
