Roy Mack Dunlap, 76, of Maryville died July 14, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital after extended illness. He was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of War World II serving in Japan. He was retired route salesman from Pet Dairy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Galliee Davis Dunlap; twin Brother: Troy Hackie Dunlap; sisters, Leona Humphrey and Juanita Williamson.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Ray Dunlap; sons and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Sue Dunlap of Walland, James and Marilyn Dunlap of Hendersonville, Donny and Sandy Dunlap of Maryville; grandchildren, Drew, Chrissie and Roy; great-grandchildren, Donny, Ryan, Jessica and Joplin; sister, Gertrude Williamson; brothers, Andrew Dunlap and Virgil Dunlap; brother-in-law, John Williamson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Dr. Charles Bailey and Rev. Horace Brown officiating. The family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville. Condolences may be e-mailed to Memorialfh@yahoo.com.
