Minnie was employed for 25 years by the McCarter family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Y. Noland, parents, Ellis and Mariah Matthews, brother, Roy Matthews, and sister, Mary Lou Carver. Survivors: Sons: Freeman Noland and wife Christy, Edward Noland and wife Kristy Brother: Freeman Matthews and wife Ruth, Dewey Matthews and wife Darlene, Ray Matthews and wife Lucy Sisters: Hettie McCarter, Cecil Newman and husband Carrol In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family.
