August 3, 1921 - October 14, 2017 Lela Webb, age 96 of Sevierville, left us in the arms of an angel Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was a member of Covemont Baptist Church. Mrs. Webb enjoyed gardening, reading, and cooking but especially loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was preceded in Heaven by her loving husband of 51 years, Sam A. Webb, Sr.; sons, Charles, James, Sam, Jr. and Dale; daughters, Mary and Kathleen; parents, James and Miranda Maples Matthews; brothers, Charlie, Amos, and Leonard Matthews; sisters, Mae Webb and Zelma Cummings. She is survived by her much loved and loving children: Karen Huffaker and husband, Jess, Patricia Webb, and Phillip Webb and wife Barbara; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special friend: Steve Waters and many other close friends. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday with funeral service following at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McGill and Evangelist Sam Brown officiating.
