Martin, Herman E., age 75, of South Knoxville, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Colonial Heights Nursing Home. Member of Mooreland Heights Baptist Church. Member of Masonic Order, Charles McKinney Lodge 433 F&AM. He was a former employee of Standard Knitting Mills, Parks Electric and retired from Martin Electric. Preceded in death by parents, James Thomas Martin and Ollie Mae Justus; brothers, Johnny, Ernest, Clarence, and Carlos; sister, Verna Smith.
Survivors
He is survived by loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Pauline Martin; children, Larry Martin and wife, Donna; David Martin, Charlotte Mills and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Jason Martin, Brandi Martin, Clint Martin, Daniel Mills, Sara Mills; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Verlis Martin and John Martin; sisters, Clara Martin, Naomi Arnett, Ethel Nichols, Estelle Sloan; special relatives, sister-in-law and husband, David and Sylvia Crawley; several nieces and nephews.
Service
Funeral service 8:00 PM Tuesday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. A Masonic service will precede the chapel service. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery at 10:00 AM Wednesday for interment services. Pallbearers will be: Clint Martin, Daniel Mills, Gary Smith, Roger Branam, Shannon Nauman and Ronnie Darnell. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
