Edna E. Johnson, 75, of Kodak went home to be with her loved ones that are waiting for her. She began her hallelujah journey at 6:27 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2003, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Johnson was a very special loving, devoted mother, grandmother, and best friend. Her passing is going to leave a void in all of the family lives that will never be filled. She always had an unselfish heart abounding in love.
She was a longtime member of the Kodak United Methodist Church.
Waiting for Edna in her new heavenly home is her husband, Claude E. Johnson; parents, Robert D. and Edith Mae Widner Pollard; brothers, Ed and Jack Pollard; brother-in-law, Sam Fortenberry.
Celebrating Edna’s homecoming, but having a void in their lives are her daughters, Diane Johnson-McCarter, Pamela Miller and husband Darrell all of Kodak; grandchildren, Angela Bierman and husband Randy, Tim McCarter all of Kodak; great grandchild, Trey Bierman; sisters, Pauline Fortenberry of Kodak and Ruth Wilson and husband Bob of Dandridge; sisters-in-law, Lillian Pollard of Knox County, and Lucy Pollard of Sevier County. Besides the immediate family, special niece Carolyn Mowry and special nephew Arvil Fortenberry and several nieces, nephew and a host of friends will miss the passing of Edna.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2003 at Kodak United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. Interment will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Kodak United Methodist Church, 2946 Douglas Dam Road, Kodak, TN 37764 or a church of your choice.
