Jesse James Wilson, age 78, of Newport, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2003.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cora Lee Wilson; daughter, Genevive Wilson; son, Mark Wilson; and sister, Elizabeth Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Mae Wilson, of Newport; sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Brenda Wilson, Carroll and Dominque Wilson, Reece and Susie Wilson, Jack and Kathy Wilson, Harold and Diane Wilson, David and Vickie Wilson, Gary and Tanya Wilson, all of Newport; Chris and Paula Wilson, of Jefferson City; daughters and sons-in-law: Ruth and Darrell Overholt, Peggy and John Holt, Jane and Bill Gibson, Barbara and Mike Proffitt, all of Newport; Nancy and Rick Buckner, of Bybee; 38 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alvin Wilson and Haskell Wilson, and sisters, Evalena Allen and Betty Jo Miller, all of Newport; very special friends, Joyce Ann and Richard Walker, Tater and Sharon Morgan.
Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Manson Lee, Rev. Glenn Ball, and Rev. Richard Walker officiating, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at Manes Funeral Home.
