LUNDY, JOSEPH - of Knoxville, departed this life December 31, 1998 at Hillcrest North Nursing Home. He was a faithful member of Cherry Street Church of God, where he served as Deacon until his health failed. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Dessie Lundy; three sisters; 4 brothers; daughters, Alma B. Billingsley and Evelyn Lundy. He leaves to cherish his memory devoted wife of 70 years, Ollie Armstrong Lundy; daughter, Mary Helen Smith of Cleveland, Ohio; sons and daughters-in-law, Ulyssus (Peggy) Lundy, James L. (Mabel) Lundy, all of Flint, Michigan; sister, Elsie (Wilbur) Lattimore ; brother, John W. Lundy; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 12:30-1:00 p.m. Saturday at Cherry Street Church of God. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. with Bishop John W. Batts officiating. Interment at High Top Cemetery. Arrangements by Jarnigan and Son Mortuary.
