LONG, age 88 of Dandridge, TN was called home, Friday, January 20, 2017. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge. Remes was preceded in death by his parents, Lum and Maude Long; sons, Jackie and Gary Long; infant daughter; brother, Arlie Long and sister, Imogene Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Long; daughter, Carolyn Mills (Gary); 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mary Long; sisters, Ruby Whaley and Louise Trent. Funeral services will be held, Monday, January 23, 2017, 7:00pm at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Brown and Dr. Justin Terrell officiating. Music provided by Rev. Jerry and Glenda DeZearn. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to the service. The graveside interment service will held Tuesday, January 24, 2017, 11:00am at Pleasant Grove Piney Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 246, Dandridge, TN 37725.
