Wilson, Bonnie Lee Murphy, age 91, passed away June 29, 2011 at Parkwest Hospital. Bonnie, a long time resident of South Knoxville, was a very loving wife and mother and a very strong Christian. She loved her church families at Galilee, Tarklin Valley, Meadow View, Blount Avenue, and North Knoxville Baptist. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. John Wilson; son Tommy Wilson; mother Ida Murphy Jensen and sister Thelma Sorrels. She is survived by her children- Dick (Kathy) Wilson, Sue (Robert) McCarter, Steve Wilson, Kay (Gregg) Sharpe, Terry (Kathy) Wilson, Sandy (Terry) Douglas, and daughter-in-law Brenda Wilson Chapman. Mamaw to her grandchildren-Bryan Wilson, Shana Wilson, Christa Wilder, Samantha Clark, Kristi Phillips, Keith Wilson, Rob McCarter, Melissa Ayers, Whitney Vineyard, Rachel Holbert, Trey Sharpe, Allison Wilson, and Bonnie Douglas, as well as fourteen great grandchildren. Niece, Joyce Evatt, and nephew, Jack Sorrels. The family would like to thank the staff at Brakebill Nursing Home for their endless love and support, especially Dr. Pearman and Yellow Wing employees. Receiving of friends will be Friday, July 1, 2011 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, 6:00-8:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm, Rev. Guy Milam officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 am Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Berry Funeral Home to go in procession to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 12:00 noon graveside service.
