Doris Elaine Thomason of Sevierville went to be with the Lord February 23rd 2013, four days after her 55th birthday. A sweet and loving person, she attended Doyle and graduated Lenoir City High School, was active in sports, worked at White Stores and as a secretary, and in the cosmetology profession.
She was saved at an early age and a member at Friendship Baptist Church in Lenoir City. Married in 1990, she had children in a beautiful country setting.
Doris was preceded in passing by her husband, Jonny-Claud and brought four surviving children into life, Zachariah McKinley Thomason married with Jamie Lynn Clark Thomason, Jon-Claud Wayne Thomason, Sarah Grace Grooms, and Christopher Lucas Grooms. Survivors include father and mother, Rev Jimmy and Margaret Riner; sister and brother, Teresa Walker and Jimbo Riner; and one grandchild, yet to be named; and family friend Roger Brown.
Known is a peace beyond struggles and triumph over trials, things of this world and hope beyond measure. Services are to be held March 5th at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church in Maryville, with receiving of friends from 6-7, and service to follow at 7.
