He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lindsey, son, David Lindsey, parents Morris and Clara Jane Miller Lindsey, and five brothers and sisters. Burl and Hazel were the loving foster parents to 27 children. Burl was retired as an independent milk carrier after a 35 year career. Survivors: Sons: Richard Lindsey & wife Barbara, and Joe Lindsey & wife Donna Daughter and Special Caregivers: Clara Witenbarger & husband Wool, Grandchildren: Lynn Davis & wife Linda, Amanda Russell & husband Brad, David Lindsey, and Marshall Lindsey Great-Grandchildren: Raymond Lynn Davis and Bradey Elaine Russell Adopted Children: Loran Parris & wife Judy, and John Parris & wife Karen Several Nieces and Nephews Funeral service will be at 10 AM Monday in the Atchley Funeral Home Seymour Chapel.
