He loved the Lord, going to church, Bible Study, and singings, and he loved sports. He was a long-time member of Henry’s Crossroads Church. Clyde was a constable in Sevier County in his younger years. He was a people person, loved to smile and make people laugh. He was truly a blessing and witness to everyone he met while in the nursing home. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Anna Lee Phillips Ledford, sister Mary Ann Williams, twin brother Clarence Ledford, and brother Kenneth Vaughn. He is survived by his: Son: Phillip Ledford Sisters and brothers-in-law: Diane Ledford of Talbott, Louise and Mike Patterson of Sevierville, Evelyn and Jay Greene of North Carolina, Rachel Matthews of Florida Brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred and Juanita Ledford, Rex and Pat Phillips all of Sevierville, Shirley Vaughn of Strawberry Plains “Just-like-brothers”: Harold Henderson and Junior Huskey Aunts and uncles: Vivian McMahan, Eula and Claude Townsend, Fred Phillips, Jay and Doris Pittman Adopted moms and their families: Hazel Barbra and June Huskey Two nieces, sixteen nephews, many cousins Many friends including special friend and roommate Bruce Chandler and special friend Bill Pointer who visited him every Friday for years Special thanks to everyone who loved and helped care for Clyde. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to benefit the family, c/o Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour. Pallbearers will be John and Daniel Ledford, Richie Greene, Larry Wyatt, Mike Messer, and Steve Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Huskey, Bill Pointer, Bill Sellers, Harold Henderson, Ronnie Hill, and Morris Chapman. Funeral service 7:30 PM Tuesday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Rev. Joe Lewis and Rev. Danny Hill officiating. Interment 11 AM Wednesday in Highland South Cemetery.
