BRIMER, INA LAYMAN - age 82 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday morning, February 14, 2012 at her South Knoxville home following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease and Chron's. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Cena Byrd Layman; sister, Vilda Ruth Oaks; brothers, Clifford, Leo, and Leroy Layman. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Brimer; children, Ruth Reece, Billy Brimer, Jan (Darrell) Haynes; brother, J.L. (Tammy) Layman; sisters, Ruby (George) Haynes, Joyce (Jack) Wilkerson of Knoxville and Wilma Jackson of Mount Olive, NC; grandchildren, Tammie Reece, Sheila Nelson, Paula McCarter, Heather Reece, Jessica Brimer Hamm, Lanie and Cody Brimer and Robin Haynes; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Dottie York. A funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Jerry Oliver officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Beech Springs Cemetery in Kodak for an 11:00 a.m. interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral service at the mortuary. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
